Cassandra

About

Pianist, educator, and lifelong student of the art.

Cassandra is a Montréal-based pianist and music educator dedicated to sharing the artistry of classical piano through both performance and education. Her musical journey has been shaped by rigorous conservatory training in China and Canada, as well as a deep commitment to artistic growth and lifelong learning.

She graduated from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, where she studied under renowned Canadian pianist André Laplante, and a year of advanced musical study in Germany with pianist Stefan Schmidt. Experiences that have broadened her musical perspective and strengthened her collaborative artistry.

Cassandra began her formal conservatory education at the age of thirteen after being admitted to the Xinghai Conservatory of Music. She studied with Professor Li Siying and Professor Tu Yuliang. Throughout her musical training, she has participated in piano competitions, solo recitals, chamber music performances, public concerts, and collaborative projects, experiences that continue to shape her artistic voice both on and off the stage.

Currently pursuing graduate studies in Education at the Université de Montréal, Cassandra believes that artistic excellence and meaningful teaching are inseparable. Drawing upon her experience as both a performer and educator, she creates a thoughtful and individualized learning environment where students are encouraged to develop technical confidence, musical sensitivity, creativity, and genuine artistic expression. Whether working with young beginners, aspiring performers, or lifelong learners, her goal is to cultivate not only skilled pianists, but curious, expressive, and independent musicians.
